1. Choose a palette

The first step is to choose a palette. This can be done by considering the mood you want to create or the existing colors in your home. Once you have a general idea, it will be easier to start narrowing down specific shades and tones. Some great tips for choosing a color palette:

  • Start with one main color and add two or three accent colors.
  • Choose analogous colors (colors that are next to each other on the color wheel) for a harmonious look.
  • Create contrast with complementary colors (opposite of each other on the color wheel).
  • Think about how light affects the colors – warm hues like reds and oranges look best in spaces that get lots of natural light, while cool blues and greens work well in darker rooms.

2. Consider some artwork

Adding some artwork is a great way to add color to your walls. It can be as simple as choosing a piece that speaks to you, or going for something with a bolder statement. If you’re not sure where to start, take a look at local art galleries or online stores and small businesses for inspiration. Another option is to create your own artwork. This can be done by using paint and leather, fabric, wallpaper or any other medium you like. Be creative and have fun with it!

3. Accentuate with pillows

Scatter cushions are a great way to add bursts of color to your furniture. They come in all shapes and sizes, so you can find one that fits your style perfectly. Plus, they’re easy to switch up when you get bored of them. If you’re looking for something a little more permanent, consider painting or wallpapering an accent wall.

This is a great way to make a significant impact without doing too much work. Color can be a fun and easy way to change the feel of your home, so don’t be afraid to experiment! By following these tips, you’ll be well on your way to incorporating color into your space like a pro.

4. Paint the walls

One of the easiest and most affordable ways to add color to your home is by painting the walls. Choose a shade that speaks to you, or go for something bold and bright. If you’re not sure where to start, take a look online or at paint stores for inspiration.

Another option is wallpaper. Wallpaper can be a great way to add texture and depth to a room, and there are so many different styles to choose from. Be sure to consider the existing colors in your space when picking out wallpaper, as it will help tie everything together.

There are SO many ways to add color to your home. Happy decorating!
